In 1972 it became Nilai Inti Sari Penyimpanan. In 1978, NISP became its official name. Under Karmaka Surjaudaja, Bank NISP focused on SMEs and grew from a commercial bank into a foreign exchange bank, surviving multiple economic crises.In 1997, NISP partnered with Singapore’s OCBC Bank. In 2005, OCBC became the majority shareholder. The name officially changed to Bank OCBC in 2008, followed by a major rebranding in 2023 to strengthen its digital banking brand.Today, Bank OCBC continues to grow.
